New Moon, New Beginnings. Writing Your Life into Being with Lisa O'Neill

Lisa O'Neill

Sunday, October 27 5-7 pm.

New Moons are fertile time, a time to beckon in what we most desire and plant dreams for our future. Let's use this New Moon to reflect on this year and to both recalibrate our dreams and visions for what's to come.

Each New Moon circle is designed to complement the current astrology and cycles of the moon. Come spend time reflecting in community.

Together, we'll harness our energy and creativity to connect with inner wisdom and purpose. Join us, in community and under the blank canvas of the new moon sky, as we use ritual and writing prompts to imagine what's next.

Bring something to write with and on, your imaginations, your open, curious hearts and minds.

Hosted at The Ninth House.

Cost: $35

Writing circle will be capped at 12 participants so reserve your spot soon.

About Lisa: I am a writer, writing teacher, and creativity usher doing my best everyday to move through the world with authenticity and compassion. A native New Orleanian and current desert dweller, I received my MFA in creative nonfiction writing from the University of Arizona. For over a decade, I have taught writing in the Tucson community, including community workshops, courses at the U of A and Pima Community College, and at detention and the state prison with incarcerated adults and youth. I also work individually with writers a Creative Usher, helping them locate their stories and craft them on the page. I believe that everyone has stories inside them that they need to tell and that the world needs to hear. I believe in the power of writing to heal, enhance understanding of self and others, and add beauty and grace to the world. I am the founder, host, and producer of The Matriarchitects podcast which features change-makers building a culture that respects, values, and celebrates women. My essays and articles have been published in Diagram, defunct, drunken boat, Edible Baja Arizona, GOOD, Good Housekeeping, B_tch, Bustle, Salon, The Feminist Wire, Talk Poverty, Terrain dot org, and The Washington Post.
