The Art of Seeking: A Crash Course in Divination with Kim Stoll
Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 7 PM – 9 PM. Hosted by instructor Kim Stoll.
In this two-hour workshop, we will delve into the expansive world of divination practices. Participants will explore what divination is, ways it works, and tools to aid in discovery. Through lecture & discussion we’ll learn about 8+ specific divination methods, their origins, and basic how-to. The majority of class time will be devoted to hands-on practice of four different methods: tasseography, bone throwing, I Ching, and scrying. This class is ideal for both people who are curious about divination but aren’t sure where to start, and for people who have a current practice but want to branch out and explore new methods.
$40. Participants will leave with resources & supplies to continue exploration.
12 seats available.
Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen/pencil.
I believe our stories are what shape us, and through divination we can tell ourselves new stories, create futures and find maps back through the past and into our interiors. For me, divination is a tool to illuminate possibilities and paths of understanding. As a workshop leader, I will facilitate learning and bring my knowledge to share, but also welcome the perspectives & expertise of others, so that we can all learn more together.
